Siggi Valur
Illustrator, storyboard artist

Illustrator Siggi Valur studied fine arts, graphic arts and painting in art schools in Iceland and at École des Beaux Arts in France. He has a varied background, having been a ballet dancer with the National Theater in Iceland, a fisherman, a fashion model, a soccer player and a karate enthusiast. Such a wide range of activities has given a unique perspective on movement and an excellent store of visual memories on which he calls often in his work as an artist.

He has worked at advertising agencies as a graphic designer and illustrator, and went freelance in 1991, drawing storyboards for such efforts as LazyTown (where he also served as Art Director during development of the project for the TV series) and numerous film and TV production houses in Reykjavik.
