Dana began graphic design in high school at the Visual Communications Program at Ocean County Vocational Technical School in New Jersey, where her focus was Printing, Graphic Design and Photography. She attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia, PA and graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta in 1987 with honors in Visual Communications and Commercial Art.

After graduation Dana moved from Atlanta to Nashville, where she worked as a graphic designer in the music industry for 13 years, designing for such music legends as Crystal Gayle, Ricky Scaggs, George Jones, Gail Davies and others. She moved to East Tennessee and started Dana Rimback Design in 1999.

She has won awards in fine art for her paintings, and for graphic design, taking an award for her U.S. Coast Guard 's Ohio Sector Valley Emblem design.

Her graphic design work has appeared in multiple national magazines including Hot Rod Magazine and Corvette Fever as well as several national television campaigns. Some of her international clients include Ebonite, Hammer, Track, and Columbia 300 Bowling

She spends much of her time working at mininstry and mission work in Haiti, and has given nearly ten years of community service to underprivileged children in Blount County.
